Fath al-Bārī bi Syarḥ Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī by Ibn Ḥajar al-‘Asqalānī is one of the most authoritative books on hadith commentary in Islamic scholarship. This study aims to examine the characteristics of Fath al-Bārī with a focus on the systematic arrangement of the book, the method of hadith commentary, the writing style, and the background of its writing. This study uses a qualitative approach based on library research with Fath al-Bārī as the primary source, supported by relevant classical and contemporary literature. Data was collected through documentation techniques by examining the structure of the discussion, the pattern of hadith commentary, the writing style, and historical information in the book's introduction. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive-analytical and historical-contextual methods. The results of the study show that Fath al-Bārī was compiled following the systematics of Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī with a comprehensive commentary method, covering linguistic analysis, criticism of sanad and matn, as well as a fiqh approach and comparison of scholars' opinions. The writing style is academic-argumentative with extensive references, while the background of the book's writing is closely related to the scientific need at that time to present an authoritative commentary on Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī. This study is expected to enrich the study of hadith commentary methodology in Islamic studies.

This article examines the Qur’anic concept of purification (taharah) through the interpretation of M. Quraish Shihab in Tafsir Al-Misbah. The study focuses on three key verses related to purification, namely QS. Al-Baqarah [2]:222, QS. An-Nisa’ [4]:43, and QS. Al-Ma’idah [5]:6. Using a thematic-interpretative approach, this research explores the textual meaning, the socio-religious context, and the spiritual implications of the commands related to purification. The study finds that taharah in the Qur’an encompasses both physical cleanliness and spiritual awareness, reflecting broader values of discipline, mercy, and moral responsibility. Quraish Shihab’s interpretation emphasizes that purification is not only a ritual prerequisite for worship but also a means to build ethical awareness and inner purity. Moreover, facilitative rulings such as tayammum illustrate the flexibility of Islamic law and its attention to human ease. The findings highlight the contemporary relevance of taharah as a foundation for personal discipline, holistic well-being, and spiritual development for Muslims today.

The appropriation of others’ rights constitutes a form of social injustice that is explicitly prohibited in the Qur’an, as it directly leads to the deterioration of moral order, social relations, and human civilization. This article aims to analyze the concept of the prohibition of taking others’ rights from the perspective of Tafsir Fi Zilal Al-Qur’an by Sayyid Qutb. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, using Tafsir Fi Zilal Al-Qur’an as the primary source, supported by other relevant Qur’anic commentaries and scholarly works. The verses analyzed include Qur’an al-Baqarah[2]: 188, an-Nisa[4]: 29, al-Muṭaffifin[83]: 1–3, Hud[11]: 85, and al-Ma’idah[5]: 38. The findings indicate that Sayyid Qutb views the prohibition of taking others’ rights not merely as a legal injunction, but as a foundation for the formation of faithful individuals, social justice, and trustworthiness in leadership and governance. Qutb’s interpretation emphasizes spiritual, moral, and structural dimensions, thereby presenting the Qur’anic teachings as a living value system that remains relevant in addressing contemporary problems of injustice such as economic fraud, corruption, and abuse of power.

Principal Management in Improving the Nationalist Character of Students Through the Independent Curriculum with the P5 Program at SMK Sunan drajat Lamongan. This study aims to analyze the policy of school principals in Principal Management in Improving the Nationalist Character of Students through the Independent Curriculum with the Project Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile (P5) at SMK Sunan Drajat Lamongan SMK Sunan Drajat has implemented P5 in October 2022. This application requires close cooperation from all stakeholders, especially school principals with their policies to support the smooth running of P5 activities. Taking a qualitative location in SMK Sunan Drajat Lamongan. Sources of data were obtained from school principals, deputy heads of curriculum, deputy heads of student affairs, teachers, and students. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses the theory of Miles and Hubberman. The results showed that the principal's policy in implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project was carried out through the stages of planning, organizing, acting, controlling and evaluating policies with the cooperation of all stakeholders in the school. Join, communicate with teachers or parents of students through the homeroom teacher, be creative without high costs, and maintain the cohesiveness of each class.

Scholarship programs have become an important tool in encouraging access to Vocational High School education and socio-economic development for financially disadvantaged communities. The research results show that the scholarship program has a significant positive impact on access to higher education. People who receive scholarships have greater opportunities to access higher education compared to groups who do not receive financial assistance. Apart from that, positive impacts can also be seen in socio-economic development. Graduates of scholarship programs tend to have lower unemployment rates and higher income levels compared to those who do not receive scholarships. School principals play a central role in the successful implementation of scholarship programs in vocational high schools. In directing the implementation of the scholarship program, focus on the strategies used to ensure the smooth running and positive impact of the program.
