This study addresses the need for a more coherent curriculum framework by examining the Qur’an not merely as a normative source, but as an architectural foundation for curriculum design. The purpose of this study is to reconstruct the PAI curriculum based on thematic Qur’anic exegesis by articulating Qur’anic values and epistemology as organizing principles of educational aims, pedagogy, and assessment. Employing qualitative library research, the study applies thematic exegesis (al-tafsīr al-maudūʿī) to Qur’anic verses related to education, knowledge, and human responsibility, complemented by critical curriculum theory analysis. The findings reveal that Qur’anic values tauhīd, akhlāq or adab, ʿilm, and social responsibility function as an integrated curriculum architecture rather than isolated content areas. Moreover, Qur’anic epistemology conceptualizes knowledge as an amānah acquired through reflective and dialogical processes and validated through ethical praxis. These findings demonstrate that Qur’an-based curriculum reconstruction is an epistemological and pedagogical endeavor capable of producing a coherent, value-oriented, and contextually relevant PAI curriculum.
Ahmad Nazar Fakhury, Nina Amelia, Fenia Marliana, Sri Wahyuni, Azrul Firmansyah Zulvan, Sinta Bella, Hafid Muslih Copyright (c) 2026 Ahmad Nazar Fakhury, Nina Amelia, Fenia Marliana, Sri Wahyuni, Azrul Firmansyah Zulvan, Sinta Bella, Hafid Muslih https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/744 Wed, 25 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Ibn Sina's Spiritual Quotient as a Burnout Gen Z Solution: Analysis of Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 269 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/822
Burnout is a psychological syndrome characterized by physical and emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and decreased self-efficacy. Currently, burnout among Indonesian society is experienced by 23.3% of Gen Z due to academic demands, social expectations, and digital media pressures that trigger a crisis of meaning in life. This qualitative research based on literature studies aims to analyze Ibn Sina's spiritual intelligence as a solution, with the novelty of synthesizing the philosophy of the soul and the theological foundation of Surah Al-Baqarah verse 269. Using a psychological approach and descriptive-interpretive analysis of primary sources in the form of the Qur'an and the Book of Al-Qanun fii Al-Tiibb. The study results in burnout as a form of holistic imbalance between the soul (al-nafs) and body (al-jism) which clinically resembles melancholic burnout (malankholia). This condition is caused by the failure of the human soul in controlling the balance of the vegetable soul and the animal soul, so that Ibn Sina's spiritual intelligence solution is focused on achieving al-hikmah (wisdom), through the human soul optimized by al-quwwah nazariyyah and al-quwwah amaliyyah to reach the highest level of reason (al-aql al-mustafad). This solution is oriented towards finding the meaning of life to face the challenges of the digital era, material happiness standards, and other social demands through four approaches: awareness of reason, soul management, mindfulness, and spiritual awareness.
Putri Rahayuningtyas Sativara, Yeti Dahliana Copyright (c) 2026 Putri Rahayuningtyas Sativara, Yeti Dahliana https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/822 Thu, 26 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Perceptions of the Qur’an-Based Ideal Da’i on Social Media: Evidence from Digital Da’wah https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/675
This study examines social media users’ perceptions of the Qur’an-based standards of an ideal da’i in the context of digital da’wah. The rapid development of information technology has reshaped how the public selects and evaluates da’i on social media. In many cases, da’i are recognized more for delivery style and visual presentation than for scholarly authority, raising concerns about the authenticity of da’wah values rooted in the Qur’an. The study aims to describe the level of understanding and perception within the digital community regarding the Qur’anic standards of an ideal da’i and to analyze tendencies in perceptual differences across demographic backgrounds. The research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis and a One-Way ANOVA to assess perception levels and examine differences by gender, age group, and educational level. The findings show that social media users’ perceptions fall within the moderate category (overall mean = 2.88), indicating a fairly good understanding of Qur’anic values for an ideal da’i. However, these values are not yet fully used as the primary reference when evaluating da’i figures on social media. In addition, significant perceptual differences are found across gender, age, and educational groups, suggesting that demographic characteristics influence how users evaluate the ideal da’i according to Qur’anic da’wah values.
Nelsa Erdarisna, Nurullah Copyright (c) 2026 Nelsa Erdarisna, Nurullah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/675 Mon, 02 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Market Mechanisms in the Qur’an: A Tafsir Analysis of Business Competition and the Role of Government in the Modern Marketplace Context https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/670
This study aims to examine market mechanisms based on Qur’an, Surah An-Nisa verse 29, and their relevance to business competition practices in the marketplace era. It also highlights the role of the government in building a conducive business climate to achieve a healthy and equitable economy. The research method used is qualitative with a library research approach. Data were collected from various sources, including classical Qur’anic exegesis (tafsir), academic literature, books, and relevant research articles, and were then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results show that Islam fundamentally allows market mechanisms to operate naturally without intervention from any party. Economic activities must be conducted in accordance with Sharia principles, based on mutual consent among the involved parties, and must avoid actions that harm others. However, the verse also implies the need for government intervention in certain circumstances when the market fails to function properly, such as in cases of monopoly practices or unfair competition in both traditional and digital markets. In the Indonesian context, the government has enacted Law Number 5 of 1999 as a legal instrument prohibiting monopolistic practices and unfair business competition. In addition to this regulation, the government carries out its role through supervisory and protective functions. Economic policy formulation is also undertaken to support business sustainability. Therefore, the government’s role is not only to maintain the stability of market mechanisms but also to ensure that the principles of justice and welfare are realized for all business actors.
Indri Astuti, Muhammad Mukharom Ridho, Dafina Salsabila Copyright (c) 2026 Indri Astuti, Muhammad Mukharom Ridho, Dafina Salsabila https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/670 Mon, 02 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Socio-Cultural Impressions in the Interpretation of Inheritance Verses in Surah An-Nisa: Perspectives from Tafsir Al-Qur’an and Tafsir Al-Qur’an Al-Karim https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/691
The interpretation of the inheritance verses in Surah An-Nisa cannot be separated from the social and cultural context surrounding the interpreters. This study aims to uncover the socio-cultural impressions in the interpretation of the inheritance verses by three Indonesian exegetes: Zainuddin Hamidy, Fachruddin HS, and Mahmud Yunus. All three lived during the period of the development of modern Islam in Indonesia, marked by efforts to rationalize Islamic teachings and adapt to societal dynamics. The analysis was conducted through a qualitative-descriptive approach using the content analysis method of their exegetes, particularly their interpretations of the inheritance verses in Surah An-Nisa. This study highlights how social conditions, customs, and Islamic legal discourse in Indonesia during their time influenced their interpretation of the principles of justice, gender equality, and inheritance distribution. The results show that the three exegetes provide nuanced interpretations that demonstrate an awareness of the socio-cultural context. Overall, their interpretations reflect an effort to balance sharia norms and social reality, thus enriching the treasury of Indonesian interpretations that are moderate and responsive to changing times.
Parida Ulva Dalimunte, Muhammad Taufiq, Sukma Dewita, Siti Fauziah Ningsih Copyright (c) 2026 Parida Ulva Dalimunte, Muhammad Taufiq, Sukma Dewita, Siti Fauziah Ningsih https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/691 Mon, 02 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Munasabah QS. Al-Ma’idah 87-88 and QS. Al-Nahl 116 as the Moral Foundation for Combating Illegal Cigarettes and Illegal Thrifting https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/721
This study examines the phenomenon of illegal cigarettes and illegal thrifting in Indonesia through the lens of maqāşid al-Syarī’ah and the principle of religious moderation in the Qur’an. This study uses a library-based method with descriptive analysis of the interpretation of QS al-Mā’idah (5):87-88 and al-Naḥl (16):116, as well as Indonesian laws and regulations governing excise and trade, specifically Law No. 39/2007 on Excise and Law No. 7/2014 on Trade. The findings show that these two illegal practices are not only violations of positive law regarding the obligation to pay excise and the prohibition on importing used clothing, but also manifestations of “exceeding limits” and “prevarication in law” in economic activities, which are strongly condemned in the Qur’an. These practices clearly contradict the principles of maqāṣid al-Shari’ah, especially in protecting property (ḥifẓ al-Māl), life (ḥifẓ al-Nafs), and intellect (ḥifẓ al-’Aql), as they undermine state revenue, damage the national industrial structure, and increase health risks while normalizing fraud in society. In conclusion, eradicating illegal cigarettes and illegal thrifting practices is a concrete manifestation of religious moderation, because it rejects extremism in the form of ignoring Sharia norms and state laws, while affirming the synergy between Islamic values and the enforcement of fair fiscal and trade regulations to achieve economic justice and public welfare.
Nila Duriyatus Shofa, Masruhan, Abdulloh Umar Fauzi Copyright (c) 2026 Nila Duriyatus Shofa, Masruhan, Abdulloh Umar Fauzi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/721 Mon, 02 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Tarbawi Interpretation of the Educational Environment: Analysis of Qur’anic Verses on Family, School, and Community Education https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/755
This study uses a tarbawi interpretation approach with a thematic (maudhu’i) method to analyse verses from the Qur’an concerning three educational environments: family, school, and society. The purpose of this study is to formulate a tri-centre education model based on Islamic principles. The analysis focuses on key verses: QS. At-Tahrim: 6 on the proactive and protective educational role of the family, QS. Al-Mujadalah: 11 on the nobility of scholars/scientists and ethics in scientific assemblies, and QS. An-Nahl: 125 on wise, advisory, and dialogical methods of preaching in community education. The results of the study indicate that each environment has a unique and complementary function. The family acts as the basic institution for instilling faith and morals through exemplary behaviour and habit formation. The school/academic environment serves as a place for intellectual development, instilling discipline and social values, and promoting knowledge. The community acts as an arena for the application of values, social interaction, and character building through wise lectures and positive social ethics. It is concluded that the success of holistic Islamic education requires an integrated and synergistic operational model, in which the three centres support each other continuously. The family provides a moral foundation, the school develops intellectual and social capacities, while the community provides a space for the practice and reinforcement of values, with the ultimate goal of realising khaira ummah. This research contributes to the development of applicable educational theory based on the perspective of the Qur’an.
M. Iqbal Gelar Budiman, B. An-Nisā’ Verse 92 to Traffic Accidents Caused by Human Error https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/723
QS. An-Nisā’:92 emphasizes the responsibility of perpetrators of qatl al-khaṭa’ (unintentional killing) through the obligation to free a Muslim slave, pay diyat, or fast as kaffārat. This verse not only contains legal provisions, but also offers a moral framework and restorative justice that is relevant to cases of traffic accidents caused by negligence. This study aims to examine the classification of traffic accidents due to negligence as qatl al-khaṭa' in the perspective of Islamic law and compare it with Indonesian positive law regulations. The research uses a qualitative approach with library research and Hans-Georg Gadamer's hermeneutic analysis methods, through the stages of pre-understanding, dialogue with the text, and fusion of horizons to link the meaning of QS. An-Nisā':92 with contemporary legal reality. The results of the study show that traffic accidents caused by negligence fall under the category of qatl al-khaṭa’, which carries moral, legal, and social consequences that require the perpetrator to be held proportionally accountable. In Indonesian positive law, the handling of similar cases focuses on criminal sanctions, while compensation for victims and/or heirs is partly facilitated through the Jasa Raharja social insurance compensation scheme as basic state protection, not diyat imposed directly on the perpetrator. This pattern provides material compensation, but does not fully accommodate relational and spiritual recovery as outlined in QS. An-Nisā':92, so that the principle of justice in this verse can be used as an ethical reference to enrich the design of traffic accident settlements in Indonesia.
Adinda Mawaddatul Urfah, Masruhan, Indah Khoirun Nisa’ Copyright (c) 2026 Adinda Mawaddatul Urfah, Masruhan, Indah Khoirun Nisa’ https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/723 Mon, 02 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Roland Barthes’ Semiotic Analysis of the Meaning of Al-Mā’ in QS. Al- Anbiyā’ [21]: 30 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/727
Water in the Qur’an occupies a very important position, not only as a physical element but also as having sacred spiritual and theological dimensions. Amid the global ecological crisis and advances in reproductive bioethics, the meaning of water is often reduced to a mere economic commodity or a passive biological object. This study aims to deconstruct the shift in the meaning of al-mā’ in QS. Al-Anbiyā’ [21]: 30 using Roland Barthes’ semiotics to reveal the layers of meaning contained within literal, symbolic, and ideological that are relevant to the contemporary context. The method used in this research is qualitative-hermeneutic, focusing on Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis technique which is capable of dissecting the text into three layers: denotation, connotation, and myth. The results show that at the denotation level, al-mā’ signifies water as a vital element of life and sperm as the biological origin of humans. At the connotation level, water transforms into a symbol of God’s grace, a sign of cosmic origins, spiritual purity, and the continuity of generations. At the myth level, al-mā’ represents the ideology of biological sustainability, ecology, and “green theology”. It also represents the responsibility of humans as khalifah (stewards) to protect a divine trust. Furthermore, the Qur’an offers a “counter-myth” against a modernity that deadens water and exploits nature. Water is a theological mandate, not merely a limitless commodity to be freely exploited. This research provides a significant contribution by asserting that water conservation is a tawhid (monotheistic) obligation rather than just an ethical choice.
Luqman Hakim Copyright (c) 2026 Luqman Hakim https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/727 Mon, 02 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Concept of I’jāz Al-Qur’ān in KH. A. Musta’in Syafi’i’s Exegesis: An Interdisciplinary Study between Qur’anic Hermeneutics and Science https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/791
This article examines the concept of i’jāz al-Qur’ān in Tafsir Aktual by KH. A. Musta’in Syafi’i, positioning it within the framework of contemporary Indonesian Qur’anic exegesis oriented toward the contextualization of revealed meaning. This study aims to describe the formulation of the i’jāz concept developed by KH. Musta’in, identify the most dominant aspect of i’jāz in his exegetical practice, and analyze the hermeneutic approach employed in explaining the miraculous nature of the Qur’an to modern society. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with hermeneutic methods and field study. Data were obtained through textual analysis of Tafsir Aktual published in Bangsa Online, in-depth interviews as a means of clarification and interpretation validation, and literature review of contemporary tafsir and ‘ulūm al-Qur’ān scholarship. Data analysis was conducted using a thematic hermeneutic approach through dialogue between the textual horizon and the readers’ social context. The findings indicate that KH. A. Musta’in Syafi’i formulates i’jāz al-Qur’ān integratively, emphasizing two dominant aspects: i’jāz balāghī and i’jāz ‘ilmī. The balāghī aspect is evident in his analysis of diction, metaphor, linguistic structure, and morphological functions of the Qur’an, while the ‘ilmī aspect is manifested in reflective dialogue between āyāt kawniyah and modern rational knowledge without reducing the Qur’an to a scientific textbook. The hermeneutic approach employed is dialogical, communicative, and pedagogical, rendering the exegesis not merely informative but also socially transformative. This study concludes that Tafsir Aktual by KH. Musta’in Syafi’i represents a contemporary exegetical model that successfully revitalizes the concept of i’jāz al-Qur’ān in a moderate, contextual manner relevant to the needs of the Muslim community in the digital era.
Farina Fikria Aulia Copyright (c) 2026 Farina Fikria Aulia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/791 Tue, 03 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Munāsabāt al-Nuzūl Approach as a Reformulation of Asbāb al-Nuzūl: A Study of Surah al-Fatihah and its Relevance to the Foundations of Islamic Theology https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/780
Studies of asbāb al-nuzūl have been key to understanding the historical context of revelation, but the special position of Surah al-Fātiḥah as the core of Islamic teachings demands an understanding that transcends temporal events. This study aims to offer a new analytical framework through the concept of munāsabāt al-nuzūl to reveal the theological and universal message of the surah. Using a descriptive qualitative method based on library research, this study integrates historical data with an analysis of the correlation between values in the text. The results show that the munāsabāt al-nuzūl approach is able to position al-Fātiḥah as a dynamic and timeless guide for humanity. These findings reveal that al-Fātiḥah comprehensively summarizes the relationship between servants and God through the dimensions of theology, worship, and divine guidance. Many of these cases are linked to gender inequality, and misinterpretations of Qur’anic verses often justify patriarchal practices within marriage. This study aims to analyze the interpretations of KUPI (Indonesian Women Ulama Congress) regarding Qur’anic verses related to KDRT and to explore how their progressive interpretations offer solutions to gender inequality in domestic settings. A qualitative, descriptive-analytical approach was used, with data sourced from KUPI’s fatwas, related academic literature, and interviews with gender-responsive scholars involved in KUPI. The study finds that KUPI’s interpretations of verses such as QS. al-Nisa’ [4]: 34 and QS. al-Baqarah [2]: 233 emphasizes equality, respect, and justice, rejecting violence and reinforcing mutual rights within marriage. This research contributes to the development of gender-responsive Qur’anic interpretation and offers new insights into addressing KDRT through Islamic law. QS. al-Ahzāb: 4 is studied in the context of the practices of zhihār and tabannī that were developing in pre-Islamic society, which often gave rise to unclear lineage and injustice in the family structure. This verse emphasizes the Qur’anic correction of these practices by placing lineage and injustice within the family structure. QS. al-Taḥrīm verse 1 is analyzed through the dynamics of the Prophet’s household, particularly regarding his oath prohibiting something halal (permissible) in order to calm the jealousy of his wives. Allah’s rebuke in this verse emphasizes the boundaries of morality and the domestic sphere while also strengthening the principle that the determination of halal and haram cannot be determined by emotional considerations alone. This study aims to reveal how these two verses reflect the process of social, legal, and moral reform brought by the Qur’an. This research uses a historical-descriptive method, namely, uncovering the history of the two verses to reveal their contextual meaning. The analysis used in this study is contextual analysis, linking the interpretation results to the reasons for their revelation. The research process consisted of systematic stages of identification, screening, and selection of relevant literature. Article searches were conducted using the Publish or Perish (PoP) application with PCC based keywords: “radha’ah,” “breastfeeding mothers,” and “tafsir of Al-Baqarah 233.” The initial search produced 7,507 articles from Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, and JSTOR. These articles were screened using PRISMA procedures and analyzed through Rayyan.ai based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 13 articles eligible for further analysis. Thematic relationships among the literature were visualized using VOSviewer, which revealed major clusters related to radha’ah, breastfeeding obligations, infant nutrition, and the exegesis of QS. Al-Baqarah 233. The findings indicate that most mufassir interpret the amr form in the verse as an obligatory command for mothers, considering that breast milk is a biological consequence of pregnancy and the primary source of nutrition for infants. Some scholars view it as recommended in certain conditions, yet the literature consistently affirms that radha’ah is a fundamental right of the child and aligns with the maqasid al-shari’ah, particularly hifz al-nafs and hifz al-nasl. The findings indicate that these three verses represent the Qur’an’s comprehensive response to various forms of marginalization. QS. Al-Baqarah: 27 criticizes the marginalization of spiritual values through violations of the divine covenant committed by apostate, hypocrite, and people of the book groups; QS. Al-Baqarah: 154 performs an epistemological deconstruction of the marginalization of martyrs through redefining the concepts of life and death; while QS. Al-Baqarah: 187 offers a rukhṣah mechanism as a response to marginalization through laws that do not consider human anthropological limitations. These three verses form a tripartite conceptual framework that complement each other in the construction of a civil society (madani society), emphasizing the importance of spiritual commitment, appreciation for sacrifice, and balance in law implementation. This study concludes that the Qur’an offers an integral paradigm in addressing marginalization through an approach that is simultaneously firm and relevant for contextualization in answering contemporary societal challenges.
Gabriellea Lubaba, Nabil Muhammad Niamillah Copyright (c) 2026 Gabriellea Lubaba, Nabil Muhammad Niamillah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/706 Mon, 16 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Integrating Qur’anic Thematic Interpretation with Empirical Observation: An Analysis of Students’ Islamic Character at SMP Negeri 1 Kalijati https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/671
This study aims to analyze students’ Islamic character from the perspective of thematic interpretation of the Qur’an through direct observation at SMP Negeri 1 Kalijati, Subang, Indonesia. The research focused on key character indicators, such as honesty, discipline, respect, and cooperation, which were then linked to the moral values contained in Qur’anic verses related to moral education. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing Miles & Huberman’s interactive data model, supported by descriptive quantitative data and thematic interpretation analysis (al-tafsīr al-mawḍū’ī). The data were analyzed thematically to identify the relationship between student behavior in the school context and the principles of Islamic character education, as interpreted in the Qur’an. The results showed that most students displayed positive behavior in accordance with Islamic teachings, although several challenges remained in the aspects of consistency and internalization of values. However, previous studies tend to separate empirical character assessment from Qur’anic exegesis, leaving a methodological gap in integrating observed behavior with thematic Qur’anic interpretation. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening character education based on Quranic values in the school environment to shape a generation with noble morals that are relevant to their daily social context.
Salsabila Mustopa, Tryana Hafilda, Reza Fahlefi, Hafid Muslih, Cecep Anwar, Muhammad Hilmi Ramadhan Copyright (c) 2026 Salsabila Mustopa, Tryana Hafilda, Reza Fahlefi, Hafid Muslih, Cecep Anwar, Muhammad Hilmi Ramadhan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/671 Mon, 16 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Empowered Maryam Bint ‘Imrān: An Intertextual Study of the Qur’an and the Bible https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/557
Women’s empowerment has been a crucial aspect of Indonesia’s national development since 1978 year, yet accessibility challenges in rural areas persist. This research aims to explore the figure of Maryam as a theological model for women’s empowerment through a comparative analysis of the Qur’an and the Bible. Employing a qualitative method with an intertextual approach, this study integrates classical and contemporary exegesis, including the perspectives of al-Ṭabarī, Ibn Kathīr, and Quraish Shihab, with selected Biblical texts. The findings indicate that both religious traditions position Maryam as a figure of high spiritual authority and moral integrity. In the Qur’an, Maryam is portrayed as a resilient woman facing social pressure with moral courage, while in the Bible (Luke 1:26-38), she is presented as an independent figure actively contributing to the prophetic mission. This study concludes that Maryam is not merely a historical-religious figure but a universal symbol of women’s empowerment that transcends dogmatic boundaries. The implications of these findings contribute to contemporary discourses on gender and religion, while positioning Maryam as a strategic point of convergence in interfaith dialogue. Through her exemplary moral steadfastness and spiritual independence, Maryam offers a new paradigm for strengthening women’s roles in both public and domestic spheres.
Rifa Tsamrotul Syaadah, Iqrimah Azhari Copyright (c) 2026 Rifa Tsamrotul Syaadah, Iqrimah Azhari https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/557 Mon, 16 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Integrating Qur’anic and Prophetic Values into Islamic Education Curriculum Development in the Age of Disruption https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/770
This research aims to analyze the integrative strategies of the values of the Qur’an and Hadith in the development of the Islamic education curriculum in the era of modern disruption. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with a library research method. Research data were obtained from the text of the Qur’an, the hadith of the Prophet, classical and contemporary tafsir books, Islamic Religious Education curriculum documents such as the 2013 Curriculum and the Independent Curriculum, as well as various relevant scientific literature. The analysis was carried out through a thematic approach to identify the educational values in the Qur’an and Hadith and examine their relevance to the development of the Islamic education curriculum in the digital era. The results of the study show that the integrative strategy in the development of the Islamic education curriculum includes three main dimensions, namely strengthening teachers’ digital literacy as a prerequisite for contextual learning, the application of the Living Qur’an approach that connects the text of revelation with the social reality of students, and the development of inclusive pedagogy that respects the diversity of student characteristics. In addition, the recontextualization of the Prophet’s educational methods such as exemplary (uswah hasanah), dialogue, and gradual learning (tadarruj) shows a strong relevance to the modern pedagogical paradigm centered on students. This study emphasizes that the transformation of the Islamic education curriculum will only be effective if the integration of Qur’anic and Prophetic values is carried out systematically in curriculum design, pedagogical strategies, and a sustainable educational ecosystem.
Nany Kholilah, Mufatihatut Taubah Copyright (c) 2026 Nany Kholilah, Mufatihatut Taubah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/770 Mon, 16 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Virginity as an Ethical Value in the Qur’an: An Analysis of Al-Azhar’s Tafsir on QS. Al-Waqi’ah Verse 36 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/821
This article attempts to explore the concept of virginity in Buya Hamka’s Tafsir Al-Azhar through a Qur’anic ethical approach oriented towards the values of purity (thaharah) and self-control (iffah). This study is motivated by the complexity of the issue of virginity in contemporary Islamic ethical discourse, which is not only biological in nature, but also theological, moral, and social. This study aims to reveal how Hamka interprets the term abkār in QS. Al-Waqi’ah verse 36 as a spiritual symbol of purity of the soul, not merely physical pleasure. Using a qualitative research method based on library research and a thematic interpretation approach (tafsīr mauḍū’ī), this study explores religious texts and supporting literature through linguistic, theological, and contextual ethical analysis. The analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically with triangulation of sources to maintain data validity. The results of the study show that Hamka shifts the meaning of virginity from the biological realm to the universal spiritual and moral realm, so that purity is understood as an ethical process that demands equal moral responsibility for men and women. This concept makes an important contribution to the renewal of Islamic ethics that is gender-equitable and relevant to the moral dynamics of modern society. The results of the study show that virginity in Hamka’s perspective is a symbol of spiritual purity that represents the perfection of faith and moral integrity of believers.
Ahmad Naufal Afifi Copyright (c) 2026 Ahmad Naufal Afifi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/821 Mon, 16 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Work Ethic, Amanah, and Integrity in the Qur’an: Constructing an Integrative Ethical Framework https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/749
Contemporary professional life increasingly demands strong ethical foundations to address problems such as declining work ethics, weak accountability, and the erosion of integrity in various social and institutional contexts. Within Islamic intellectual tradition, the Qur’an offers a comprehensive moral framework that emphasizes ethical responsibility in human conduct. However, previous studies often examine the values of work ethic, amanah (trustworthiness), and integrity separately, resulting in a fragmented understanding of their interrelated ethical structure. This study aims to analyze the Qur’anic construction of work ethic, amanah, and integrity as an integrated ethical framework and to explore their relevance for strengthening moral character and professional culture in contemporary society. This research employs qualitative library research using thematic analysis of Qur’anic verses supported by classical and contemporary exegetical literature. The findings demonstrate that the Qur’an conceptualizes work ethic as diligence and responsibility in fulfilling human duties, amanah as moral accountability in carrying entrusted responsibilities, and integrity as consistency between faith, speech, and action. These values are not independent but form an interconnected ethical system that guides individuals toward responsible and ethical conduct. The study concludes that the Qur’anic framework of work ethic, amanah, and integrity provides a significant moral foundation for reinforcing professionalism, accountability, and ethical work culture in the modern era.
Nazilatul Fatihah Firdaus, Husein Aziz Copyright (c) 2026 Nazilatul Fatihah Firdaus, Husein Aziz https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.stiq.assyifa.ac.id/alfahmu/article/view/749 Mon, 16 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000
