Abstract

This article describes the assistance for the halal product process for micro and small-scale food and beverage business owners in Besitang District. The purpose of this article is to provide education and information to readers that the Halal Product Process (PPH) assistant has duties, obligations, and responsibilities in providing halal certification services to micro and small-scale business owners. The method of community service is a field (qualitative) method, where the author directly interacts with business owners who are the object of the service. The approach used is an anthropological and sociological approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through unstructured observation and interviews with competent sources, after which the obtained data was scientifically analyzed. The location of the service carried out by the author was in Besitang District, Langkat Regency. The results of the service that have been carried out are as follows: First, the PPH assistant conducted socialization to the Regional Government to form partnerships. Second, the PPH assistant conducted socialization to business owners in a humane and persuasive manner. Third, the PPH assistant conducted socialization through social media so that information could be spread to all levels of society.
