Al-Afkar: Jurnal Pemikiran Mahasiswa Pendidikan is a peer-reviewed academic journal that focuses on the development of student scholarship in the field of Qur’anic studies and Islamic thought. The journal provides a platform for students to engage critically with the Qur’an as a primary source of knowledge within the Islamic intellectual tradition.
The term “Pendidikan” in this journal is understood as the process of intellectual and moral formation grounded in Qur’anic values, rather than as a formal discipline of educational science. Accordingly, the journal emphasizes studies that explore the Qur’an and its interpretative traditions as a foundation for developing thought and understanding.
The journal accepts original research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews that demonstrate analytical depth, methodological clarity, and relevance to contemporary issues in Qur’anic discourse.
The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:
- Islamic education thought and philosophy
- Qur’anic exegesis (tafsir) and thematic interpretation in education
- Studies in ‘Ulum al-Qur’an and their relevance to educational values
- Curriculum, learning methods, and innovation in Islamic education
- Moral, spiritual, and character development in education
- Educational management and leadership in Islamic institutions
- Pesantren, madrasah, and contemporary Islamic educational institutions
- Integration of Islamic values in science, society, and education
- Development of contemporary Islamic thought related to education
All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a peer-review process to ensure academic quality, relevance, and integrity. Authors are fully responsible for the content of their work.
