About Journal

Al-Afkar: Jurnal Pemikiran Mahasiswa Pendidikan is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Research and Community Service Department (LPPM) of Institut As-Syifa, Subang, Indonesia. The journal is published four times a year (February, May, August, and November), with its first issue released in August 2025. Al-Afkar's e-ISSN number is 3124-5846.

Al-Afkar serves as an academic platform for students, scholars, and researchers to publish scientific works related to educational thought, Islamic education, and the development of knowledge based on Islamic values. The journal emphasizes critical, innovative, and contextual perspectives on education as a means of intellectual, moral, and social transformation.

The journal aims to communicate original research and contemporary issues in the fields of Islamic educational thought, Qur’anic values in education, learning innovation, curriculum development, character formation, educational leadership, and the advancement of Islamic intellectual traditions. Focus and Scope

Al-Afkar: Jurnal Pemikiran Mahasiswa Pendidikan is a peer-reviewed academic journal that focuses on the development of student scholarship in the field of Qur’anic studies and Islamic thought. The journal provides a platform for students to engage critically with the Qur’an as a primary source of knowledge within the Islamic intellectual tradition.

The term “Pendidikan” in this journal is understood as the process of intellectual and moral formation grounded in Qur’anic values, rather than as a formal discipline of educational science. Accordingly, the journal emphasizes studies that explore the Qur’an and its interpretative traditions as a foundation for developing thought and understanding.

The journal accepts original research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews that demonstrate analytical depth, methodological clarity, and relevance to contemporary issues in Qur’anic discourse.
