Journal Description
Al-Afkar: Jurnal Pemikiran Mahasiswa Pendidikan is a student-based academic journal that publishes scholarly works focusing on the development of thought grounded in Qur’anic studies and Islamic intellectual traditions. The term “Pendidikan” in this journal refers to the process of intellectual and moral formation inspired by the values of the Qur’an, rather than a specific discipline of educational science.
The journal aims to foster critical, analytical, and reflective thinking among students in exploring the Qur’an as a primary source of knowledge and guidance. Al-Afkar provides a platform for students to contribute to academic discourse through studies rooted in ‘Ulum al-Qur’an, tafsir, and the development of Islamic thought in contemporary contexts.
The scope of the journal includes: a) Islamic education thought and philosophy, b) Qur’anic exegesis and thematic interpretation in education, c) Studies in ‘Ulum al-Qur’an and their relevance to educational values, d) Curriculum, learning methods, and innovation in Islamic education, e) Moral, spiritual, and character development in education, f) Educational management and leadership in Islamic institutions, and more.
The editorial team of Al-Afkar is committed to upholding academic integrity and scholarly standards. This journal serves as a dynamic platform for students to develop original ideas and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of Qur’anic scholarship.
