Al-Afkar: Jurnal Pemikiran Mahasiswa Pendidikan is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Research and Community Service Department (LPPM) of Institut As-Syifa, Subang, Indonesia. The journal is published four times a year (February, May, August, and November), with its first issue released in August 2025. Al-Afkar's e-ISSN number is 3124-5846.
Al-Afkar serves as an academic platform for students, scholars, and researchers to publish scientific works related to educational thought, Islamic education, and the development of knowledge based on Islamic values. The journal emphasizes critical, innovative, and contextual perspectives on education as a means of intellectual, moral, and social transformation.
The journal aims to communicate original research and contemporary issues in the fields of Islamic educational thought, Qur’anic values in education, learning innovation, curriculum development, character formation, educational leadership, and the advancement of Islamic intellectual traditions. Al-Afkar: Jurnal Pemikiran Mahasiswa Pendidikan is a student-based academic journal that publishes scholarly works focusing on the development of thought grounded in Qur’anic studies and Islamic intellectual traditions. The term “Pendidikan” in this journal refers to the process of intellectual and moral formation inspired by the values of the Qur’an, rather than a specific discipline of educational science.
The journal aims to foster critical, analytical, and reflective thinking among students in exploring the Qur’an as a primary source of knowledge and guidance. Al-Afkar provides a platform for students to contribute to academic discourse through studies rooted in ‘Ulum al-Qur’an, tafsir, and the development of Islamic thought in contemporary contexts.
